Job Description

Blackstone Legal Costing is a 30-person legal costing firm headquarters in Melbourne and with offices in Sydney and Brisbane. We have a great culture and the office is relaxed but professional.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person.  

Ideally, you will have experience in an office environment, a flexible mindset, and time management skills to handle competing priorities. You have exceptional attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.   

Qualifications & experience

  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Average typing speed with high accuracy.
  • Good record-keeping.
  • Experience with Word and Excel.
  • Legal secretarial experience is preferred but not essential.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Preparing documents and correspondence from digital dictation and hand-written notes.
  • Editing and proof-reading letters, cross-checking and formatting documents to be sent to clients.
  • invoicing.
  • Coordinating outgoing matters and meeting client deadlines.
  • Liaising with other Blackstone offices or with clients as required.
  • Answering overflow telephone calls.
  • Ad hoc tasks.
