About Great River City Light Rail
At Great River City Light Rail (GRCLR), we believe public transport plays an important part in how a city comes to life. Supporting one of the biggest infrastructure projects in NSW the consortium will supply the Light Rail vehicles and systems, and the construction of the Stabling and Maintenance Facility.
The project is at an exciting stage transitioning from Design through to commencing Construction at the Stabling and Maintenance Facility. In addition, we are working closely with our other stakeholders to secure the handover of the site from the Infrastructure Contractor to commence the works along the alignment.
As this progresses further, will we commence to accept light rail vehicle delivery and the testing and systems integrations works leading up to the completion of commissioning? the above-ground fit-out of the Stations, and the Operation and Maintenance of the line.
The role
Reporting to the Managing Director the Special Projects Manager will lead the implementation of various projects to meet (Parramatta Light Rail) stage 1 outcomes. Focusing mainly on the business.
This will take in a wide range from leading the depot fit-out, business continuity implementation and evaluating vendor supplier proposals. This role will see you working with our technical and business subject matter experts to create a robust project plan to address project objectives.
What you bring
In addition to tertiary qualifications (engineering, project management, or business-related) your background will include demonstrated experience in managing complex interfaces in similar projects.
This may be supported by formal project management qualifications (PRINCE 2, PMP). In addition, you will have the capability or understand stakeholders’ needs, issues and priorities through routinely seeking stakeholder feedback. Given the nature of the role, advanced planning capability combined with high-level analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
