About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for an experienced Cleaner to join our Darwin site.  The successful applicant will report to the Production Supervisor and be an integral member of the Production team.  The Cleaner will be Responsible for the cleaning of the bakery and bread room in accordance with cleaning procedures.

You will be responsible for:

• Clean walls and exterior of main equipment (eg provers, ovens, and coolers) according to cleaning procedures
• Clean floors including behind barriers and under conveyors
• Clean walkways with a floor scrubber
• Remove cobwebs
• Clean overhead pipework and air vents when assigned
• Clean conveyors and framework when assigned
• Remove and discard debris and waste materials
• Vacuum office and empty bins three times per week
• Clean grounds as directed by the Operations Manager
• Clean and store all cleaning equipment
• Notify Maintenance Manager of repairs needed to  equipment/plant
• Carry out required checklists
• Handle cleaning chemicals as in line with specifications
• Comply with policies, HACCP, GMP, Hygiene, and SH&E standards

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Good personal hygiene
• Good communication skills
• Able to work prioritize work and complete it with minimum supervision
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, OH&S standards and hygiene requirements
