The primary purpose of LFS couriers is to load, unload their truck or van, and pick up and deliver goods against LFS & Supplier documentation to ensure accuracy across all areas of responsibility.  This is to ensure customers receive the correct freight within the expected delivery times.  Drivers are the key to the successful fulfillment of our customer expectations.

What you will do

• Deliver and pick up packages to a variety of locations around metropolitan and regional areas
• Lodge international and/or domestic freight
• Meet Customer’s expectations in relation to on-time delivery, taking into account receivers’ requirements by following consignment instructions for delivery every time
• All drivers are responsible to ensure all of their freight is labeled and sorted from dispatch. This includes daily pickups from customers that require their freight to be labeled back at the depot.
• Undertake other duties as requested by managers, supervisors, and team leaders
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of fleet vehicles
• Ensure GPS tagging is completed each day
• Operation of forklift
• Additional tasks as otherwise directed by the supervisors & managers

What you bring

• The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
  1. Forklift License
  2. Excellent level of numeracy, verbal and literacy skills
  3. Intermediate computer skills
  4. Loading and unloading up to 25kgs (on average 5-10kg)
  5. May be driving both a manual or automatic vehicle for long periods of time (in excess of one hour but may take breaks if needed)

Preferred experience

• Knowledge of the Biomedical industry
• 2-3 years of driving/transport experience
• Experience in OBS Operating system
• Medium/Heavy Rigid License
