This role presents a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate to expand their HR career and build a solid HR foundation by being involved in and contributing to all aspects of our growing People function.

Our team is continuously evolving and foresee this role as a stepping stone for someone looking to progress to an HR Advisory role shortly.

Here’s what we need

  • Be part of our team driving continuous development of best practices in people documentation, policy, and processes.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of people coordination to support onboarding, employment, performance, learning & development, retention, and exit processes and strategies.
  • Generate contracts, contract amendments, and ad hoc documentation.
  • Be responsible for our data integrity through owning internal systems and employee records.
  • Work closely with our Learning & Development Specialist to execute our development plans.
  • Be the first point of contact for employee inquiries in a proactive and outcome-oriented manner.
  • Collect, report on and analyze people data to support company objectives and decision-making.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant industry trends and legislation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries and escalate issues to other members of the People Team or Finance Team when needed.
  • Support the continuous improvement of people processes and practices and Emesent.
  • Be a key point of contact with benefits providers/administrators and health and safety contacts.
  • Work with the People team to help implement strategic People projects.

How you’ll succeed

  • 1+ year generalist HR or Recruitment administration experience
  • Strong curiosity about people and how to enable successful teams
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence and ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders (Including C Suite)
  • High attention to detail and excellent reporting skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines
  • Can-do, proactive attitude with a strong customer service mindset
  • Exposure to Awards and/or understanding of employment legislation
  • Experience working with an HRIS (desirable)
