Job Purpose
To record Inventory / fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, writing off and maintenance of sub-ledger reconciled accounting records in order to administer Inventory / Fixed Assets in compliance with the UAE statutory requirements, IFRS, management requirements, and with appropriate internal controls.

Fixed Asset Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Utilize Oracle ERP and other business systems to administer timely and accurate fixed assets (FA) transactions in compliance with the ENEC capitalization manual in order to reconcile all fixed asset sub-ledger accounts monthly.
- Coordinate with the Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant and Projects Accountant, as necessary, to set up consistent Asset location codes, major/minor category codes, and default useful life, mapping the categories to default GL accounts.
- Reconcile general and administrative fixed asset and inventory, including reconciling fixed asset/inventory sub-ledger, and reviewing fixed asset register with business function owner to ensure accurate updates to any changes in asset status.
- Maintain and reconcile Fixed Asset register for external audit requirements, including disclosures and annual additions/deletions records.
- Review and analyze the fixed asset physical inventory count (or stock take) in accordance with Finance and Accounting Guidelines.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Maintain and update ENEC inventory booking, Goods Receipt Notes, Goods Delivery Notes, inventory issuing, spoilage, and safekeeping records in coordination with warehouse staff so that all documentation is up to date.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to fully assimilate all ENEC requirements for smooth business operations and update the inventory module on a regular basis.
- Reconcile ERP inventory sub-module and other warehouse systems on a regular basis, and prepare monthly quarterly and annual disclosure information for management and financial reporting.
- Review the inventory transactions in Oracle in compliance with IFRS and other statutory requirements, including periodic physical stock take of inventories and supporting auditors.
- Support overall development, maintenance, and monitoring of the ENEC inventory system in order to achieve efficient stock utilization.
- Assist in the strategic planning and the quality of all reporting in conformance with regulations, legislation, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications
QualificationMin: • Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of relevant experience.
QualificationMax: • Experience in energy or construction projects is highly desirable
