Qualifications & Experience
- Applicant must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand in the registered nurse scope of practice
- Applicant must have a completed approved clinical master’s degree program (or overseas equivalent) for the nurse practitioner scope of practice. The program must include relevant theory and a minimum of 300 hours of clinical learning,
- Must have at least four years of experience in their area of practice
- Must pass an assessment against the nurse practitioner competencies, given by a Council-approved assessor
