Job Description
An opportunity has arisen to join the Doctoral Academy which supports all postgraduate research students in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FBMH).
As part of the Doctoral Academy, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-organized individual to carry out a range of activities to support an efficient postgraduate admissions service.
The post holder will primarily be responsible for coordinating the operational aspects of recruitment to our funded programs and Faculty-wide studentships, including coordinating proposals/applications, web content and publicity, and organizing, coordinating, and overseeing interview panels.
The post will also involve supporting wider recruitment and admissions processes and events and the start of the year activity, coordinating activity with the Central Division of Student and Academic Services and Student Recruitment and International Development, and other student support services.
The successful candidate will have a customer-focused attitude and be able to demonstrate a number of competencies including excellent attention to detail, well-developed organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize their workload when under pressure.
Experience in working with a range of IT systems in particular Excel, web publishing packages, and Campus Solutions, would be advantageous.
We expect the successful candidate to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and operate professionally with postgraduate research students from a range of backgrounds.
