We are currently seeking multiple Fair Work Advisers across our Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide CBD offices. Part-time, full-time, and working-from-home options are available. Most positions will initially be offered on a 12-month non-ongoing basis, with the potential of ongoing within 12 months.

Working as a Fair Work Adviser at the FWO, you will be on the phone in a fast-paced contact center environment advising and assisting the Australian public every day. You will be helping a diverse range of employees and employers by helping them to understand workplace rights, entitlements, and responsibilities.

Your Conditions

  • Salary starts from $69,365 with annual wage increases built into our EBA
  • 15.4% super- Compound interest is real!
  • 37.5 hour working week with flex time regularly available
  • 4 weeks annual leave plus an additional paid annual close down between Christmas and New Year
  • Able to access flexible working arrangements including part time and working from home

The knowledge and skills gained in the Adviser role can lead to positive career progression. This includes not only within the Fair Work Infoline as a Coach or Team Leader, but across the FWO. Past Advisers have become Fair Work Inspectors, Communications officers, and joined the FWO’s Behavioural Economics and Education or Data teams.

  • To be eligible for employment with the FWO you must be an Australian citizen.
  • The successful candidate must hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or be willing to undergo and obtain a Baseline security clearance – we will support you throughout the process.
  • Subject to the public health advice in place from time to time, the successful candidate will be required to attend the FWO offices regularly. In accordance with this requirement and the FWO’s work health and safety obligations, employees generally must be vaccinated against COVID-19, and provide satisfactory evidence of vaccination status.
