This position is open to undergraduate students to participate in clinical research as assistants for clinical patient recruitment, study enrollment, and data collection. The position involves working on a research team with faculty pediatricians in the UCLA Department of Pediatrics and students in the Schools of Social Welfare and Public Policy.

Students in this position will take part in a study of a novel financial and motivational interviewing intervention to understand its impact on mental health in low-income parents and the development of their children being seen in a primary care pediatrics clinic. The position includes both remote work and onsite at Harbor UCLA in Torrance, CA.

Required Skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with basic spreadsheet and word processing use
• Adaptability to feedback and ability to adjust to a fast-paced work environment
  

Preferred Skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• Spanish language fluency (verbal and written)
• Experience working with children and families
