Who you are
You are a high-performer with the ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment. You are someone who enjoys fault finding and problem-solving, whilst working with a continuous improvement mindset.
You have demonstrated relevant electrical trade experience as well as a proven ability to maintain complex conveyor systems, sortation, or other material handling systems in a BHS environment. You have knowledge of SCADA, PLC, Siemens S7 PLC, Maximo, and CMMS Systems.
You have the ability to work autonomously, whilst also working collaboratively and cross-functionally with teams across operational and functional areas of the Airport including Operations, Commercials (retail, Property, Parking), Facilities, Technology, and Planning.
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of a high-performing team, you will coordinate the operations of Sydney Airport’s Baggage Handling System (BHS), ensuring a high level of service is delivered to our customers, airlines, sponsors, and stakeholders. Reporting to the BHS Shift Manager, you will be part of a wider BHS team who collaborates and partners with peers in the Facilities team.
