Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced cleaner to take their career to the next level – the Cleaning Area Support position offers secure permanent, part-time employment within our City of Sydney contract.
The ideal candidate must be available to work approx. 6-10 pm Monday to Friday and weekend shifts when required. The ideal candidate must have a driver’s license and be confident driving around Sydney City CBD.
Key Duties:
- Arrange delivery of stock to smaller sites where necessary, and as advised by the supervisor.
- Assisting with on-the-job training was necessary.
- Ensure cleaners follow the safety procedures in line with SHEQ requirements and report all nonconformance to the Area Manager.
- Assist to induct new staff to the site, and specific site locations.
- Assist with training in the operation of equipment (SOP), handling of chemicals (SDS), and manual handling.
- As required – general cleaning – Mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and all touch points (taps, bubblers, handrails, door handles, bathrooms, etc.).
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- An eye for detail and being proactive.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Intermediate Microsoft suite – desirable.
- Certificate II/III in Cleaning Services (preferred but not essential).
